CLASS DURATION
- Each subject runs for two-hours in duration
LESSON STRUCTURE
Tutors work one-on-one with each student explaining new concepts for homework and reviewing any problems that students may have encountered.
Through our extensive experience, individualised teaching is preferred over whole class teaching at the primary level to maintain student engagement and addressing specific student needs.
Students are given work from their booklets which are rotated every week. This ensures variety and continued engagement in their homework tasks.
OUR REWARD SYSTEM
Students are given a sticker when they display a positive attitude to their learning such as attaining high spelling test results, completing homework to a high standard or showing improvements in their learning. Once students receive ten stickers, they will receive a special prize for their efforts. This has been well received amongst our students!
CORDIAL AND TREATS
During our break students are given cordial and a treat so they feel refreshed for the second half of their lesson. Our tutors also select two model students from each lesson and they will given a reward for trying hard in class.
FEEDBACK AND ASSESSMENT
- Tutors work individually with students helping them with problems they may have encountered in their homework
- Our tutors record student progress every lesson to keep track of learning issues and homework assigned
- Tutors complete corrections outside of hours to ensure that timely feedback is provided to students
- Conduct spelling tests, mini tests and quizzes in class
- Termly reports are distributed to parents to relay student progress
